How to measure
your windows
All you need is a tape measure and a couple of minutes. We just need two measurements — the recess width and the recess height. Don't worry about being precise, that's what our survey is for.

Measure the Recess Width
Measure the inside of your window opening from left to right, in millimetres for your width.

Measure the Recess Height
Measure from the top of the opening down to the window sill, in millimetres.

A few things worth knowing
- Use a metal tape measure if you have one — fabric ones tend to stretch and won't give you reliable numbers.
- Measure in millimetres. It's simpler than working with centimetres and decimals.
- These are guide measurements for your guide price, so there's no need to worry about being millimetre-perfect. We'll take care of the precise measurements at the survey.
- Measure the opening (the recess), not the glass or the outer frame.
